Radioactive Chicken Heads!
It was roughly a year ago I met the likes of Carrot Top and the Radioactive Chicken Heads. Their shows are amazing to say the least. This band has the freakish ability to turn grown men and women into 8 year old children after only one song! Punk rock, mutant vegetables and poultry! What is there not to like? I thought to myself “A comic book must be made!” After many months of conflicting schedules we were able to meet up and talk comics. Keeping things in a true DYI manner the comic will be filled front cover to back with black and white ink chaos!
The plan is to have this book out by summer. Loaded with a 16 page story introducing the genetically modified LIQUID FAT! The comic will also contain some of the bands collected fan art, stories and possibly a back up story.
SHE That Kills The Dead
SHE T.K.T.D. Is my new pet project. It is a story I wrote (and am still writing) that I decided to transfer into comic form. The idea of She is an attempt to answer a question I’ve been hearing asked frequently. How bat shit crazy would you go lost in a world of diseased and decaying cannibalistic humans?
I explore this question with one woman. A woman lost with only her wits, unlimited tools, spotty electricity, access to any book she’ll ever need to save her ass and a relentless desire to Re-Kill death itself? There is no intent to rebuild. No fantasy of hope. No desire to ever look back. Only revenge. Revenge for being saved for last. The last to watch her species rot alive. She should not be alive. Death’s mistake to spare her will be it’s punishment. She will destroy the army of the undead town by town, city by city. She is the re-killer. SHE That Kills The Dead.
Aside from being the colorist on this project, my buddy Tom Ziuko is helping to Co-edit this comic alongside me. For those of you who don’t know this guy he was a colorist for DC and Marvel comics a few years back. His work spans too far for me to list. His insight into the comic process has been proven extremely valuable to me. His guidance is allowing me to broaden my horizons as I venture further in establishing myself as a comic artist/creator. We’re taking it back a little old school. I could not be more proud having Tom help out,
What’s with those SHE photos man?
I’ve met some very talented people who have offered to help bring this story a little closer to life. I am in the infant stages of a short film that may or may not become a web series. This is my first attempt in doing something like this, but not for the team that I am in talks with assembling at the moment. Unfortunately, aside from the photos I can’t really go much into the works of this specific project at the time, but I promise when I am at liberty to, I will be screaming it out!
Thanks for reading this far guys. I really appreciate all the encouragement and support I am receiving. The only was I can think to offer my gratitude is to make this thing as cool as I possibly can. Believe me when I say I got a few tricks up my sleeve.
