Dear Past Self,
I enjoy using stale cliche ideas and making them my own. It’s a small pet peeve of mine when people creating something tell you of a project, then say they can give you no info. No title, genre or images. I think this is foolish. There is no “original” idea. It is story telling, composition and juxtaposition that make a project unique. Hell, even if it’s not unique the main idea is to make a project entertaining for an audience.
Share your ideas! If you think you have a cool twist on an idea and wish to hold the reveal, I can get with that. Not explaining the idea at all can be risky. Without testing your audience by showing a concept or story vibe may prove disappointing when all your time has been invested in this secret, that when revealed, no one cares about because they knew nothing of it’s production! Then you scramble do useless backtrack promotion. I don’t know man, I don’t feel like I’m explaining my rant right. Whatever, It’s hard to catch up to my run off sentences.
Just share you ideas please! Grow, learn and identify to your audience.
The Battling Goblin Queen. This is the prideful look she gives before going into the bloody, dismembering battle.
The creature that beckons nightly. It promises the comfort of home, before I became lost and forgotten.
The sarcastic phantom that pretends to be a motivation light. FYI it’s a creep.
These are some loose pencil sketches I decided to tighten up, ink and recently color. So far they are just images that haunt me, but I reckon these will soon become stickers. One of these drawings are for sale in store along with some others previously shown. Once I finally pull the print trigger I will not sell the drawings for the price shown. Just saying.
Thanks for peeping my creeps for show!
Happy Monday! Who else is ready to begin another awesome week!
Okay, okay, I’m not that positive. I’m working on it though.
I’ll keep this quick and leave you with a question. Which one of these characters best suits you today?
The beast on a road to ruin filled with uncontrollable rage?
The slayer set on conquering the difficult task at hand in attempts to save the day?
Or the silent guide who assists the scale of fate how ever it may tip?
Which ever you are. Be the best one you can.
Enjoy the Monday.
