Siena 1949: E`Acceso!
Originally created as a guide to the city Siena printed in Italian 1949.
I’ve taken it upon myself to draw over the pages and re-title it as my new drawing project!
This series will follow my previous line travel drawing project “Broken Storybook” which has enough content to for a two issue mini book (as of now)
I’m going to share a little piece of city trivia of Siena with each post of the project.
But first, the drawing!
The city is universally known for its immense historical, artistic, landscaping heritage and its substantial stylistic unity of medieval urban furnishings as well as the famous Palio .
In 1995 its historic center was incorporated by UNESCO into the WorldHeritage Site .
The city is home to the Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena , founded in 1472and therefore the oldest bank in activity as well as the longest in the world.
Oh, and a Chewbacca sketch cover!
Thanks for reading!
I was asked recently to draw a Sasquatch. Wanted to draw something a little different. This was the different. It made me smile.
I contributed to a very interesting project and process from my buddy Nathaniel Osollo at Eye Draugh.
This book is a collection of authentic vintage Photos. With a phone (Aurasma) app using your camera the monster begin to appear!
My contribution is on page 16 to the book above ^
Here is a cheat of the monsters that appear.
Please check the book!
Thanks for reading
More Broken Storybook pages! I was in a zone for a while. I think I’m winding down with these for a while. Inking the last one felt a little less fun (still fun, but less). Printing will commence soon. For now just accumulating.
Here are some images or the Scramble Jam! A local draw meet up we do monthly at Dutch’s Brewhouse in Long Beach.

I’m very happy to finally have this out and available! It is now up on the new Ebay account and Zarstar studios store. Really lucky to have Norman Wong coloring my work. He makes my lines look much better than I think them to be. I will be making a few store adjustments and will be building up original and print work on Ebay.
There is a bit going on that is too lengthy to type (and to read), so I’ll do my best to edit and condense.
My Emo Vortex #1 now available on the new Ebay page and Zarstar Studios store.
For anyone who purchases anything from Zarstar Studios directly, I’ll send a little original thank you.
The new ebay site it just beginning, so I’ll be running some .99 auctions to build up some transaction numbers. Mostly original sketch cards, and one off drawings that distract me from comics.
Here are some sketch cards I worked on during WonderCon in Anaheim this past weekend!
Here are some tales from the sketch book done this week:
Have a good weekend! Thank you for reading!
This month’s bootleg mascot was the Koolaid Man
Some of the artists at the event
This Month’s Scramble Jam event was really good! Talked with other artists about ideas and got a different perspective on the art game. SKA Brewing company caught wind of the coaster doodles and offered a little love for the next meet up. The meeting was held at Dutch’s Brewhouse . Very happy with how chill things are. I feel as these events continue we will have to expand numbers. I do little promoting. Mostly invite friends. I think now maybe it we should promote a little more.
Also drew on a blank cover. I’m doing less of these as other projects grow and are more demanding. I still think it’s important to have fun with fan art. I do my best on confining it to these covers. Slowly working them down.
I’ll leave with some random current sketchbook draws. Thanks for reading.
Been a while since I drew a blank cover. What better way to shake the cobwebs off than with Hawkeye as an old man?!
I also had a badly damaged LOW comic published by image comics. I seen a couple of empty pages with really cool colors on them, So….I torn them out and had the great idea to draw on them one day (horder style).
Cleaning up other loose ideas I had. I have to throw out things weekly. Things I thought were great ideas but didn’t get around to. I do this to avoid too much clutter. Sometimes I think I have a great idea. If I don’t begin them within two weeks, most likely it was not that good of an idea.
I didn’t do them for any reason than to draw on something different. I have them for sale. I do very little to promote my small shop, but at least things are up for sale. Here is the link (zarstar studios store)
