Been a while since I drew a blank cover. What better way to shake the cobwebs off than with Hawkeye as an old man?!
I also had a badly damaged LOW comic published by image comics. I seen a couple of empty pages with really cool colors on them, So….I torn them out and had the great idea to draw on them one day (horder style).
Cleaning up other loose ideas I had. I have to throw out things weekly. Things I thought were great ideas but didn’t get around to. I do this to avoid too much clutter. Sometimes I think I have a great idea. If I don’t begin them within two weeks, most likely it was not that good of an idea.
I didn’t do them for any reason than to draw on something different. I have them for sale. I do very little to promote my small shop, but at least things are up for sale. Here is the link (zarstar studios store)
Rowdy Scallywags and myself have been itching to do a comedy type thing for a while. With time and budget constraints, some of our other pilot ideas have been temporarily shelved. Due to a shipping error I have recently acquired several thousand comic books. Many of which are….questionable.
In my attempt to reduce the stacks I came up with an idea…This show was created. There are three more episode scheduled introducing some characters and awkward attempts at financial freedom from the shackles of Rory’s strict mother (played by Melissa Ray) Rory has quite an eclectic of funny books. Some of which may interest potential buyers.

Hope some of yous check it out and maybe get a kick.
Dear Past Self,
I enjoy using stale cliche ideas and making them my own. It’s a small pet peeve of mine when people creating something tell you of a project, then say they can give you no info. No title, genre or images. I think this is foolish. There is no “original” idea. It is story telling, composition and juxtaposition that make a project unique. Hell, even if it’s not unique the main idea is to make a project entertaining for an audience.
Share your ideas! If you think you have a cool twist on an idea and wish to hold the reveal, I can get with that. Not explaining the idea at all can be risky. Without testing your audience by showing a concept or story vibe may prove disappointing when all your time has been invested in this secret, that when revealed, no one cares about because they knew nothing of it’s production! Then you scramble do useless backtrack promotion. I don’t know man, I don’t feel like I’m explaining my rant right. Whatever, It’s hard to catch up to my run off sentences.
Just share you ideas please! Grow, learn and identify to your audience.
My Dark Mouse contribution
I was asked by my friend Nathaniel to illustrate my version of his character Dark Mouse. I really like the comic series he has going so far. How could I say no? Here it is. If you have a minute or two check it out for free! (Dark Mouse comic)
