I went to Cinefamily in Los Angeles California this past Friday with a friend to watch Texas Chainsaw Massacre III: The Saw Is Family. Great show! I wanted to do something fun and promote a little of what I do, so I drew this and made a few homemade trading cards.
Turns out I got a little too hasty and left the “D’ out my website.
hehe well….at least I made them and a few people took’em. The lesson? Proof read your shit and don’t rush.
Completely unrelated (as per my rambles) but here is a Curious Spaceman. I drew a prelim a few years ago. The idea stuck with me, so I decided to finish it on my Jumbo woven sheet collection. Drawn on a Circa Linen company sheet (1985) color: Lamplighter Ivory.
If you don’t get it, You are most likely a curious space person.
A one page comic about being a little too self reliant.
Plan to have this colored and printed in Sassafrass #1
Siena 1949: E`Acceso!
Originally created as a guide to the city Siena printed in Italian 1949.
I’ve taken it upon myself to draw over the pages and re-title it as my new drawing project!
This series will follow my previous line travel drawing project “Broken Storybook” which has enough content to for a two issue mini book (as of now)
I’m going to share a little piece of city trivia of Siena with each post of the project.
But first, the drawing!
The city is universally known for its immense historical, artistic, landscaping heritage and its substantial stylistic unity of medieval urban furnishings as well as the famous Palio .
In 1995 its historic center was incorporated by UNESCO into the WorldHeritage Site .
The city is home to the Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena , founded in 1472and therefore the oldest bank in activity as well as the longest in the world.
Oh, and a Chewbacca sketch cover!
Thanks for reading!
Page 14. A random page I like
I’m very happy to finally have this out and available! It is now up on the new Ebay account and Zarstar studios store. Really lucky to have Norman Wong coloring my work. He makes my lines look much better than I think them to be. I will be making a few store adjustments and will be building up original and print work on Ebay.
There is a bit going on that is too lengthy to type (and to read), so I’ll do my best to edit and condense.
My Emo Vortex #1 now available on the new Ebay page and Zarstar Studios store.
For anyone who purchases anything from Zarstar Studios directly, I’ll send a little original thank you.
The new ebay site it just beginning, so I’ll be running some .99 auctions to build up some transaction numbers. Mostly original sketch cards, and one off drawings that distract me from comics.
Here are some sketch cards I worked on during WonderCon in Anaheim this past weekend!
Here are some tales from the sketch book done this week:
Have a good weekend! Thank you for reading!
My little buddy Zeke sends draw requests from time to time. Always fan art requests of pop culture characters. It drives me crazy finding reference and drawing accurate. So much I asked him to only drawing things he imagines (hoping to deter the requests)
Not so much the case. He imagined some things. Two teams to be exact. I don’t know the story or origins. He refused to tell me incase I thought to steal his idea. Kidding, he just didn’t tell me. I know for sure he has already thought it out.
Anywho, here is 9 year old Zeke character concept of the Zen-X Disease
Here is my interpretation of the team
This is the other team called the Infection
This is my interpretation
It was pretty fun using the loose reference to illustrate.
Next week I’ll talk coasters, SKA, beer and bars!

Slurville Presents: A Friend Of Mitsy
This event takes place within the town of Slurville. The same town the Arch Agency appeared in. This is a 5 page preview to a story that I am building in script form. WIth the intent to write a feature film.
Right now the current plan is to create a full color motion comic of this content, then co-produce a short film from the feature script. I hope you dig this 5 page thing so far.
In the evening hours when most people prefer to sleep I draw. A ritual, perhaps even a compulsion. I do my best to create a topic before my imagination gets ahead of me. I often fail. These are some of the many illustrations that have no focused direction for an audience. These have become an encrypted diary. When I look back at past illustrations, I remember how I felt or what I was thinking about (irrelevant to the actual illustration) while working on a specific section. Like an old letter, but substituting the alphabet with line intersections. To be honest, I hate looking back at old drawings. It’s like looking into a mirror (which I dislike also). These are reflections of what I once was, even a second is “once was” ago. I have changed, evolved since the time it took to look. The time it takes to interpret and decipher the image I am looking at it has already changed. Never an accurate depiction. The speed of thought is far more quick than the speed of sight.
Or maybe I just think to fucking much.
Yeah, that more likely.
