FF Zombie Cover Last NIght

Dood instagram mentioned he was interested in commissioning a Fantastic Four blank cover from me. This happens sometimes. I’ll get a loose commission request. I believe in what I do, with that being said the (new to my work) requestor may not. One thing that bothers me with any product, art or otherwise things I sell, is that if the person buying is unhappy with the quality or contents of the purchase. Because of this I cannot pressure a sale, guilt or lock anyone into an unwanted commission (work for hire excluded, we agree beforehand and you gots to pay :B) Sketch covers and rando established characters I’ll draw if I like it. Otherwise I can not accept the commission.

I thought this was a fun challenge and said I do it with no commitment. Because I didn’t want to draw for anyone but myself. If someone wants the work, they will confirm to buy. I’m confident I can sell my work and have no reason to hunt or remind anyone of a sale. It prevents the unnecessary confrontation. The person may simply not like the art. That’s okay. I’m typing this not for myself, but for other artists that come across this issue. If there is anything I can say from experience, is create for yourself. Even if it’s for pay remind yourself it’s something you enjoy. If you don’t, well…that sheeeeit.

Thanks for reading.
