Last Night's Sketch Coverin'

I worked on some sketch covers last night. I’m working on a new comic project. A lesson I’ve learned from the past is write it first. Drawing and scripting off the hip doesn’t work for me. Especially if I plan to create more than one issue. Re reading over and over to fill continuity gaps that never would have happened if I would have had an edited script. So while I write, I draw on these. It’s frustrating. I really want to get to drawing this new title! Until then, just keeping the brush inked.

Some people enjoy stories being read or told before bed. In a way I’m similar. I draw before bed. I let my subconscious tell me stories. Most are not full on, beginning, middle and end. It’s more like scenes and images. The more I practice drawing the more clearer I’m learning to describe. This is one. I don’t know if it’s a dream, movie I watched or just a deep thought, but here it is. I call it the Tentacle Battle .
